Snow in VEGAS

When you think of Las Vegas the first thing that comes to mind is hot scorching desert. Well think again because we sure have a fantastic easy access Ski Resort. It features a full service ski and snow board school, rental gear with lift packages and gift shop, all this a short distance drive from the shimmering light of the Las Vegas Strip. You can be sun bathing in the morning while enjoying a cool cocktail pool side, and a few hours later race down a slippery slope chilling the afternoon away.
Some say that we had the best snow pack this past 2012 winter season for amazing skiing and snowboarding fun. For the flocks who want to try something new, the Bunny slope will be a fun place to take a few lessons at the “Ski & Snowboard School”. I know they offer Private lessons that are available if you need a little more help and attention.
The drive up is very easy, just take highway 95 North and turn left at the exit to Mount Charleston and the Ski resort will be just a few miles up. A beautiful road will lead you to your fun destination, and on the way you can stop and take in the magnificent view of open desert landscape surrounded by majestic mountains, or enjoy lunch at the newly renovated “Mount Charleston Lodge”. As you climb higher to around 8000 feet you will feel the air chilling and the desert turning into a lush mountain landscape waiting to be explored. If diving is not your forte then take a shuttle bus that will bring you straight to the heart of the Ski Resort.
I often drive up to the ski resort and truly enjoy encountering the wild life after a stormy day, the majestic deer is always an exciting vision just watch the road to keep safe.
I truly think you will be pleasantly surprised by this cool attraction just a short distance away from the Vegas Strip.

A safe place to rest your ski equipment
